See the Process

We don’t force stones into shapes they don’t want to be. Every cut is made by hand, moving slowly and letting the material guide the work. From the first slice of the saw to the final 3000-grit polish, see how we turn rough, stubborn rock into something meant to last.

Discover Our Story

We collected stones for 30 years before we ever made a single cut. It wasn’t until two years ago, after losing our dog, Rufus, that everything changed. We turned our Spokane dining room into a working lapidary shop and finally started shaping the rocks we’d been carrying around for decades. We aren’t generational jewelers, and we don’t have a pristine, corporate studio. We have custom-built machines in our home.

The Rescue Story

That’s Rufus at the river, forehead wrinkled, keeping watch over Mom. She rescued him when he was just skin and bones; he spent the rest of his life watching her back. Losing him sent us on a 3,000-mile memorial road trip and turned our Spokane dining room into a lapidary shop to process the grief. We learned quickly: taking a scarred, battered stone and patiently grinding away the damage is exactly like rescuing a dog. They both just need time, patience, and someone to watch their back.
